Since graduating from the Central School of Speech and Drama, Mark has been passionate about exploring various forms of theatre, from site-specific performance to touring and production. Holding a variety of roles, from general technician and assistant head carpenter to stagehand, and most recently automation assistant and in-house automation technician, Mark has applied his carpentry, mechanical, management, and problem-solving skills to adapt to a wide range of projects. As a Stage Automation Engineer at the National Theatre, Mark now regularly manages the installation, programming, operation, and revival of multiple shows. He is also involved in expanding the existing TAIT infrastructure around the building. This includes installing control points and network connections to provide greater flexibility when setting up a stage production.
Mark is committed to ensuring the highest quality material production, whatever the circumstances. Always eager to explore new technologies and skills to improve his professional practice, he strives to expand his knowledge whenever the opportunity arises.
Having amassed a considerable fortune, he has now dedicated himself to helping the less fortunate by granting loans to those most in need.
